We thought we would start the ball rolling with something fun for all the family during half term. (Yes it's already nearly that time of the year again.)

This one is suitable for all ages and there is a 10-15 minute walk to the den building location.

Meet by the entrance by Beesley Green off Greenleach Lane.

Last entry is at 1.15pm and parking available at Beesley Green.

Tickets are £1

Booking not required unless in a large group.

Glow Memory Walk at MediaCityUK

Join thousands of people raising awareness and funds during Alzheimer's Society's Memory Walk GLOW

Taking place after dark, this sponsored walk is for the whole family.

Join your fellow glow-getters at MediaCityUK Piazza, where the event will start and finish.

Take in the atmosphere, grab your glowsticks and get ready to walk alongside hundreds of others to shine a light on dementia.

See the local area lit up as the 5km walk takes you along the city's unique watefront, accross some of the city's iconic bridges and past the famous Imperial War Museum and Lowry theatre.

The route is on paths with steps and so is suitable for wheelchairs with assistance. Please note the route and distance is subject to change.

Sounds From The Other City

Sounds From The Other City is a celebration of new music, new bands, live performance, art, and discovery in a host a great locations along Chapel Street this May. 

Organisers added: "We’ll also be bringing lots more new ingredients to mix in everything that has made the festival one of the most idiosyncratic and individual events in the country, making sure the best day of the year in Salford stays as fresh as ever!"

Irlam Live 2020

Where else can you see Sophie Ellis Bextor, Scouting for Girls, Martin Kemp, D:Ream, 911 and Space on the same bill?

This awesome three-day music festival takes place in an outdoor arena within Prince’s Park.

Organisers added: "Great atmosphere, great music, great food and drink and of course great people."

A three-day VIP ticket is £128.49 with booking fee if you fancy pushing the boat out.

Back to the 80's Tribute Festival

Manchester to Blackpool Bike Ride

The fantastic Manchester to Blackpool ride is a very popular event with cyclists of all abilities.

The route covers 60 miles from MediaCityUK and has lots of refreshment stops along well-signed scenic country lanes in Lancashire, before finishing on the South Promenade in Blackpool.

Ordsall Hall Garden Party

Set in the beautiful gardens at Ordsall Hall, this garden party is packed with wonderful  treats from live music, street acts, eco arts, funfair rides, walks and talks and craft stalls to a range of delicious tempting food and drink offers.
