POLICE officers were left bewildered after a number of vehicles were parked in the middle of the road.

Traffic officers said all the vehicles were locked and secure but had seemingly been abandoned on random roads in Little Hulton.

Salford City News:

They posted the pictures of the Vauxhall Corsa and two Ford Fiestas on Twitter showing exactly how they had been left.

Two were in the middle of a road, another parked randomly half on the pavement.

They added:" Bit of an odd day with abandoned vehicles on random roads in @GMPLittlehulton this morning.

"Vehicles locked & secure but left in the road.

"Very odd & all undamaged."

Salford City News:

Responding to the tweet some joked the heavy winds and blown the cars away or water had carried them away, while another blamed kids for pushing cars during half-term, adding: "Happened all the time in the 80s in South Manchester !!

We only had three TV channels!!!"
