A SALFORD man has admitted a string of driving offences committed over the Bank Holiday weekend.

Appearing at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court, Shannon Meaney, of Marlborough Road, Irlam, pleaded guilty to driving a Ford Focus on Mauldeth Road in Manchester on Sunday, May 24 without insurance or a valid driving license.

Meaney, 29, also admitted a charge of dangerous driving and driving while over the drink drive limit after he was found to have 46 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath.

An interim disqualification was made and Meaney will appear again at Manchester Crown Court for sentencing on June 22 2020.
