SALFORD City have announced 11 players will leave the club at the end of their contracts.

Josh Askew, Craig Conway, Darron Gibson, Kieran Glynn, Kyle Letheren, Chris Neal, Michael O’Connor, Nathan Pond, Devante Rodney, Mark Shelton and Scott Wiseman will depart the Ammies when their deals end on June 30.

League Two clubs on Friday voted in favour of curtailing the season due to the coronavirus pandemic with Salford electing to release their retained list.

Graham Alexander’s side are set to finish 10th in their first season in the Football League.

A club statement read: “We would like to thank each and every player for their considerable efforts on behalf of the club and extend our sincere best wishes for the future.”

The Ammies also confirmed they have exercised an option to extend Ibou Touray’s contract until June 2021.

The following other players are also under contract for next season: Bruno Andrade, Luke Armstrong, Emmanuel Dieseruvwe, Ashley Eastham, Thomas Elliott, Daniel Gardner, Daniel Jones, Joseph Jones, Daniel Lloyd-McGoldrick, Carl Piergianni, Martin Smith, Brandon Thomas-Asante, Oscar Threlkeld, Richard Towell, Daniel Whitehead and James Wilson.
